The Drop
Terms of Use

The ground rules.

By using thedropnewsletter.com or subscribing to the email list, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site. Easy.

The content

Everything on the site — articles, guides, reviews, art direction, editorial voice — is owned by The Drop and protected by copyright. You're welcome to share links, quote reasonably with attribution, or forward our emails to friends. Don't copy whole articles to repost elsewhere. Don't feed our content into a competing AI product. If you want to use something, email us and ask.

The recommendations

We review TV. Our recommendations are opinions formed from watching shows, reading the industry press, and thinking about them out loud. We're not responsible for how a show makes you feel, whether it's a waste of time, or whether a streaming service was worth the subscription. If you watch a show we recommended and you hated it, we're sorry but also that's TV.

The affiliate stuff

Some links on the site may be affiliate links — meaning if you click through and buy or subscribe, we might get a small commission. This doesn't change our recommendations. If something isn't worth watching, we won't tell you it is for a referral fee.

The email

Subscribing means you want a weekly email from us. You can unsubscribe at the bottom of any issue, any time. We don't sell your email. See the privacy page for the full picture.

The liability section that every site has

The site is provided "as is." We try to keep it accurate, but TV news changes fast and streaming availability shifts every week. We're not liable for any decisions you make based on what you read here. Don't cancel your HBO subscription because of a line in a guide from three months ago.

Changes

We can update these terms. Significant changes get noted on the page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you're okay with the new terms.
